I have not been pleased by recent changes in the newspaper. I am particularly upset by your running year-old columns by Molly Ivins and others. Ivins is certainly not as bad a writer as Don Feder, but there is no excuse for running year-old columns when a writer goes on vacation. Just run a column by someone else.
I expect a balance of views - conservative, liberal and radical - on the editorial page. I seek substance - congressional elections, intervention in Haiti, Serb aggression in Bosnia, etc. I've had it with fluff, especially year-old fluff.
