Pharard A. Gray Sr., 28, of the 1300 block of Picadilly St., died Oct. 3, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Gray was born in New York City. He was retired as a medical clerk from the Portsmouth Naval Medical Center. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and attended Norfolk State University.
Survivors include a son, Pharard A. Gray Jr. of Norfolk; his mother, Carrie B. Smith of Norfolk; his father, Floyd Gray of Queens, N.Y.; five sisters, Hope Gray, Dawn Gray, Donna Gray, Jasmine Smith, all of Norfolk, and Rosalyn Gray of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Floyd Gray Jr., Lorenzo Smith Jr., both of Norfolk, and Hasan Gray of Queens; his stepfather, Lorenzo Smith Sr. of Norfolk; and a very devoted friend, Tamika Purvis of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Tabernacle of God Holiness Church, 234 W. Berkley Ave., by Bishop Calvin Sykes. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake.
