SARAH J. SONNENBERG

Sarah Jacobson Sonnenberg, 89, of the 500 block of Washington Park, died Oct. 5, 1994, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Sonnenberg, a native of Norfolk, was the widow of Samuel Sonnenberg. She was a life member of B'Nai Israel Congregation and its sisterhood in Norfolk, Beth Sholom Home Auxiliary, Hadassah, Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary, Jewish Family Services of Tidewater and Tidewater Chapter of Ostomy.

Survivors include two sisters, Miriam J. Lubin and Rosa J. Garson, both of Norfolk; four brothers, Louis Jacobson of Norfolk, Julius Jacobson of Richmond, Irvine Jacobson of El Paso, Texas, and Reuben Jacobson of Mission Shawnee, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Israel Bornstein. The family will be at 533 Washington Park in Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to B'Nai Israel Congregation or Jewish Family Services of Tidewater. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
