CARL A. FUSS

Carl A. Fuss, 77, of Mercerville, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1994, at his home.

Born in Irvington, he resided in Mercerville for the past 49 years. Mr. Fuss was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 4th Ivy Division, 12th Infantry. He was trapped for 30 days in the Hurtgen Forest, Battle of the Bulge, and was a member of the liberating force of Paris in 1945. He received the Bronze Star. Mr. Fuss retired in 1975 after 30 years of employment with American Standard. He was a former member of Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church of Mercerville; Past Commander, VFW Post 3525 in 1959-60; a member of Bell Atlantic Trenton-Burlington Pioneer Partners and Mercerville Friendship Club.

Son of the late Louise Winkler Fuss, he is survived by his wife, Lucille Colasurdo Fuss; a daughter, Celeste Fuss-Thatcher of Lawrenceville; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald J. and Helen J. Fuss of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren, Kelly Thatcher-Castle, Heather and Allen Fuss; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. in Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Saul Colonial Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
