ROBERT BENJAMIN SMITH

Robert ``Bob'' Benjamin Smith, 83, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1994, at Sabal Palms Health Care Center, Largo.

Mr. Smith was born in Chatahoochee and moved to Atlanta in 1929, returning from Burlington, N.C., in 1973. He was a naval veteran serving during World War II. He retired as president of Pepsi Cola Bottling Company, Burlington; was a member of and former head usher at Calvary Baptist Church, Clearwater; a 32nd degree Mason, Shrine Khedive Temple, Norfolk; a member of the Belleair Country Club; and North Carolina State Senior's Golf Champion for three years in a row.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Alma B.; a daughter, Deborah A. Bowman of Largo; three brothers, Sanders Napolean Jr. of Clewiston, Fla., James Monroe of Monroe, Ga., and Harry Lee of Port St. Joe, Fla.; and one grandson, Stephen Robert Smith of Largo.

Rhodes Funeral Directors, Druid Chapel Clearwater, is in charge.
