JOSEPH F. TIEWSKI

Joseph Fred ``Peanut Joe'' Tiewski, 75, of the 3900 block of Chadswyck Road, a retired pipefitter, died Oct. 6, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Tiewski was a native of Perth Amboy, N.J., and was the widower of Eula M. Tiewski. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Shop 56, after 37 years, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Jolliff United Methodist Church, Chesapeake, and Sonshine Club of Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Rose Marie Davis of Richmond; a stepson, Clay Moore Jr. of Williamsburg; two sisters, Mary Szustak of Perth Amboy, N.J. and Helen Coleman of Oraville, Calif.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Won H. Un. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
