SENATOR SHOULD WORK FOR US, NOT AGAINST PRESIDENT

About 18 years ago, we had a very fine senator representing us named Spong. The Republicans nominated a candidate named Scott. Scott spent oodles of money and was elected. For the next six years he went on junket after junket at our expense. He was also called by the news media the dumbest senator in the Senate.

Now we have Oliver North spending millions of dollars so he can go to Congress to make life miserable for the president (his words).

Is this what we elect a senator to do? North admits to being a liar; now he is showing his ignorance of governing.

This is a very important election. We need someone in the Senate who will work for the good of Virginia and our nation, not himself.
