Joe A. Seals Sr. of the 400 block of Red Lion Drive died Oct. 9, 1994.
Mr. Seals was born in Homer, La., and was retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years. He was a veteran of Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Lena M. Seals; two daughters, Tamra S. Stark of Virginia Beach and Dorothy J. Champ of Homer, La.; two sons, Joe A. Seals Jr. and Darrin A. Seals, both of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Willie M. Chatman of Berkeley, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Sharon D. Seals and son-in-law, Michael Stark, both of Virginia Beach; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Ebenezer Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. C.K.Jones. Burial, with military honors, will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
