Claude V. Moore, Jr., of the 1200 block of Keats St., died Oct. 13, 1994.
Mr. Moore was born in Scotland Neck, N.C., and was a material specialist with Subship. He was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church, chairman of the deacon board, Sunday School teacher and member of the Chancellor Choir. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Moore; two daughters, Glendolyn Cosey of Chesapeake and Delores Bagby of Norfolk; two sons, Antonio Moore and Thurman Moore, both of Chesapeake; a sister, Annie Rose Thorpe of Winston-Salem, N.C.; three brothers, James Moore of Scotland Neck, N.C., Joseph Moore of North Carolina and Albert Moore of Charleston, S.C.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday at First Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Johnnie White. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Friends may join the family at the residence. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 813 Henry St., Norfolk, Va. 23504.
