Thomas Hammond Killingsworth, 71, of 208 Pennsylvania Ave., died Friday, Oct. 14, 1994 in Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret Claywell Killingsworth.
Born in Norfolk on Dec. 13, 1922, he was a son of the late Joseph Thomas Killingsworth and Lena McGinn Killingsworth. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, retired production controller for Babcock & Wilcox and a member of Fort Hill United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Sandra K. Dunton of Williamsburg, Marcia K. Murphy of Alexandria and Jackie K. Lee of Lynchburg; one brother and his wife, James M. and Ruth Killingsworth of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Diuguid Waterlick Chapel, with the Rev. Emmett W. Eccard Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends today from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Fort Hill United Methodist Church memorial fund or a charity of your choice.
