James Wilton ``Wig'' Bracy, Sr., 68, a retired automobile salesman, died Oct. 14, 1994, in his home.
Mr. Bracy was born in Hertford County, N.C. He retired from Charles H. Jenkins Co., was a lifetime member of Ahoskie Jaycee's, a retired member of Ahoskie Fire Department and member of Ahoskie Kiwanis Club. He was an Army veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Freeman Bracy; three sons, Jimmy Bracy of Ahoskie, Don Bracy of Colerain, N.C., and Scott Bracy of Williamsburg, Va.; a sister, Ruth R. Smith of Ahoskie; two brothers, Albert R. Bracy of Ahoskie and William W. Bracy of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by Dr. Jesse Croom. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
