The boat was tied up at the Nauticus piers after finishing the 1994

Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race on Saturday.

Below: The Brilliant of Mystic, Conn., pulls into port at Town Point

Park after the race. More than 30 craft were expected to participate

in the race, which began outside Annapolis, Md., on Thursday and

ended off Willoughby Spit on Saturday. As part of the Chesapeake Bay

Maritime Festival and Classic Boat Show, the three largest boats in

the race, including the Alexandria, are open to the public, free of

charge, from noon to 7 p.m. today. The festival ends at 5 p.m.
