The boat was tied up at the Nauticus piers after finishing the 1994
Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race on Saturday.
Below: The Brilliant of Mystic, Conn., pulls into port at Town Point
Park after the race. More than 30 craft were expected to participate
in the race, which began outside Annapolis, Md., on Thursday and
ended off Willoughby Spit on Saturday. As part of the Chesapeake Bay
Maritime Festival and Classic Boat Show, the three largest boats in
the race, including the Alexandria, are open to the public, free of
charge, from noon to 7 p.m. today. The festival ends at 5 p.m.
