Oct. 12 was a great day for Virginia. While we are disappointed that the race track will not be located in Virginia Beach, all residents of Virginia will benefit from having a quality race track in our state.
We are grateful to the Virginia Racing Commission, Churchill Downs, the city staff and, most of all, to the citizens of Virginia Beach for their support and their efforts to bring horse racing to Virginia.
