Vice President Al Gore is wrong to lash out at Ollie North. Gore must think we have an emperor in the White House and all Americans are supposed to bow in the direction of Washington every day at dawn.
Since President Clinton has done more to undermine the morale of military personnel than all of the preceding 41 presidents combined, the armed forces desperately need protection from their commander in chief. More power to Ollie North if he can provide it.
