CHARLOTTE M. PATRICK

Charlotte Moore Patrick of Virginia Beach, died Oct. 16, 1994, in her residence.

Mrs. Patrick was born in Macon, Ga., on March 30, 1907. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Moore of Monticello, Fla. Mrs. Patrick married G. Serpell Patrick in February 1935. She was with him during his naval career in many parts of the world, including China, the Philippines, the Netherlands, Hawaii, California, Rhode Island and Virginia. After many years of residence in the Washington, D.C., area, she and her husband moved to Virginia Beach when Rear Admiral Patrick retired in 1964.

Mrs. Patrick was one of the founders, with Mrs. Arliegh Burke, of the Naval Officers Wives organization of Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Virginia Beach Hospital Woman's Auxiliary and the Garden Club of Virginia Beach. Mrs. Patrick was also a member of Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her husband, Rear Admiral G. Serpell Patrick, USN (Ret.) of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Jane Patrick McJennett and her husband, John F. McJennett, of Providence, R.I.; and two granddaughters, Patricia McJennett Scott and Megan McJennett.

A church service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church by the Rev. Andrew MacBeth. Burial will be in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery in Virginia Beach. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
