President Clinton on Friday will make his second trip to Virginia to boost the U.S. Senate campaign of incumbent Democrat Charles S. Robb.
Clinton is scheduled to speak at the annual Kennedy-King dinner sponsored by the 8th Congressional District Democratic Committee in Alexandria. The event is expected to raise $100,000 for a get-out-the vote effort in Northern Virginia on behalf of Robb and U.S. Rep. James P. Moran, D-8th Congressional District. About 800 are expected to attend the 6:30 p.m. dinner at the Radisson Hotel on Seminary Avenue. Tickets range from $75 to $500.
Clinton spoke at a Robb fund-raiser in Fairfax County on Oct. 3. The event netted an estimated $500,000 for Robb's campaign coffers.
