Mary Collins Hodges, 76, of the 1600 block of Garfield Drive, a retired civil service employee, died Oct. 17, 1994, in Memphis, Tenn.
Mrs. Hodges was born in Coffeyville, Miss., and was the widow of Winfred Alexander Hodges. She was retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and The Young at Heart Group at the church.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Lee Moore of Salem, Va.; a son, Paul Alexander Hodges of Norfolk; her mother, Mary B. Bigley of Tennessee; three sisters, Martha Arterburn of Tennessee, Bobbie Lewis of Illinois and Clara Wade of Florida; a brother, George Collins of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Christ United Methodist Church by the Rev. Frances Moody. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 1601 E. Bayview Blvd., Norfolk, Va. 23503.
