Charles Vincent Johnson Sr. of the 900 block of Dunhill Way, died Oct. 18, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mr. Johnson was born in Norfolk and was the widower of Dorothy W. Johnson. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne Johnson of Norfolk; five sons, Alphonso Johnson of Greenville, S.C., William and Charles Johnson Jr. of Newport News, Fred and Marvin Johnson of Norfolk; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. M.L. Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 443 Chapel St., the residence of Moneta Johnson. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 2:45 p.m. Saturday.
