Josephine Tisdale O'Connor, 83, R.N., of 5300 Marion Lane, a retired supervisor of the nursery at St. Vincent DePaul Hospital in Norfolk, died Oct. 21, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. O'Connor was a native of Clarksville, Va., and a resident of Tidewater for most of her life. She was the widow of Maurice J. O'Connor Sr. and the daughter of the late Charles and Luby Howerton Tisdale. She was a Roman Catholic. Mrs. O'Connor was a graduate of the St. Vincent DePaul Hospital School of Professional Nursing, where she attained her license as a registered nurse. She was a former volunteer with St. Mary's Infant Home, Norfolk.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Sue Starr of Temple, Texas; a son, Maurice J. O'Connor Jr. of Suffolk; and four grandchildren, Kerry Shawn Coen, Darren Brennan O'Connor, Adam Starr, M.D., and Susan Starr.
A private graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. John Peck, O.S.B., in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary's Infant Home. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
