Arvie ``Lee'' New Wiest, 70, of the 2700 block of Holly Point Blvd., died Oct. 21, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Wiest, a Baptist, was born in Willard, N.C., and was retired.
Survivors include her husband, Charles James Wiest; a daughter, Rita B. Simmons of Greensboro, N.C.; a son, Robert B. Bachrach Jr. of Norfolk; two stepsons, Charles N. Wiest of Virginia Beach and James Ray Wiest of Norfolk; a sister, Myrtle Wells of Willard, N.C.; a brother, Joseph New of Chesapeake; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Larry E. Lenow. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will be at the funeral home from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday for visitation.
