Darrell D. Burgett, 19, of the 1700 block of Hancock Ave., died Oct. 19, 1994.
He was born in Norfolk and was a student at Maury High School.
Survivors include his mother, Lucy M. Burgett of Newport News; his father, Darrell Moore of Virginia Beach; a brother, Stephen Burgett of Newport News; maternal grandparents, Charles Burgett and Thelma Burgett, and great-grandmothers, Lucy M. Kelly and Mary M. Avery, all of Norfolk; four aunts, Valeria D. Sanderlin, Angela C. Bibbins and Diane Grier, all of Norfolk, and Rose M. Wimbush of Hampton; two uncles, James Taylor of Norfolk and Fletcher K. Moore of Seattle, Wash.; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Good News Family Worship Center, Norfolk, by Elder Levi Willis II. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, Portsmouth, and Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. Family and friends will assemble at 1756 Hancock Ave. in Norfolk at 10:15 a.m. for the processional to the church.
