Television anchor David Brinkley will be the keynote speaker at Norfolk State University's annual communications conference next week.
He will speak at noon Wednesday at a luncheon in the Scott-Dozier dining room. Brinkley is not being paid a fee for his speech, said communications professor Grady James, who is organizing the conference.
Other sessions will feature reporters from such organizations as CNN and Time magazine. The topics will include the O.J. Simpson murder case, the information superhighway and newsroom diversity.
The conference will begin with a job fair for students from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Mills Godwin student center. The sessions are free and open to the public.
