SHIRLEY L. LEWIS

Shirley L. Lewis of the 2200 block of Tom's Lane, Smith's Beach, died Oct. 21, 1994 in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

Mrs. Lewis was born in Olyphant, Pa. She retired after 20 years with C&P Telephone Co. as an operator and was a member of Eastminister Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach, and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil T. Lewis, Jr.; a son, Cecil Ted Lewis, III of Virginia Beach; a stepmother, Blanche Lewis of Olyphant, Pa.; four sisters, Margaret Moore of Eastville, Betty Kruper of Milton, Pa., Dorothy Loftus of Leechburg, Pa., and Charlotte Jones of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two stepsisters, Evelyn Bartastavich of Jermyn, Pa., and Maryann Booth of Lake Ariel, Pa.; a brother, Carroll Lewis of Montrose, Pa.; two stepbrothers, Robert Lewis and Billy Lewis, both of Peckville, Pa.; a grandchild, Jennifer Howard of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fox and James Funeral Home by the Rev. Randy Lewis. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Virginia Beach. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
