Ronald Craig Sanders of the 5500 block of Quarterpathgate Road died Oct. 20, 1994 in Sentara Bayside Hospital.
Mr. Sanders was born in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He retired from the Navy and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Jostine Sanders; a son, Sean Marcus Sanders of Virginia Beach; his parents, Barbara Sanders and Hardee Sanders of Grand Prairie, Texas; four sisters, Sharon Haynes of Duncanville, Texas, Debra Lawrence and Shanna Sanders, both of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Phyllis Gilchrist of Charleston, S.C.; a brother, Ricky Sanders of Long Beach, Calif.; and maternal grandmother, Geraldine Eley of Long Beach, Calif.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday at Ebenezer Baptist Church by the Rev. C.K. Jones. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The body will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Monday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the processional. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
