John Joseph Mastrangelo, 88, of the 300 block of Rainbow Lane, died Sunday in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Mastrangelo was born in Phoebus, Va., and was the son of the late Stanley and Rose Blois Mastrangelo. He retired as owner and operator of the Colonial Cigar Store in Norfolk after 20 years.
Mr. Mastrangelo was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Chesapeake, and the Roma Italian Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Vera E. Mastrangelo; one son, John Stanley Mastrangelo; two stepdaughters, Onella E. Wood and Ann E. Taylor, all of Chesapeake. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Oak Wood Cemetery, Hampton, by the Rev. Christian Haydinger. There will be no public viewing. Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, is handling arrangements.
