Lena Grimes West, 100, retired owner and operator of West General Merchandise, died Oct. 22, 1994, in Chesapeake.
Mrs. West was born in Norfolk County, Va. She was the widow of John H. West and was the oldest member of Great Bridge Congregational Christian Church. She was predeceased by a son, D. Sanford West.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret W. Davis of Chesapeake; two granddaughters, Deborah D. Perkins of Richmond and Lorie Kay Davis of Chesapeake; and a great-granddaughter, Kayley S. Perkins of Richmond.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Bill Simmons. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, today from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
