Mary Edith Marangoni, 84, of Virginia Beach, was chosen to embrace the light at the end of life on Oct. 22, 1994, at Sentara Norfolk General.
Mary was born in Chilhowie, Va. She was the widow of Guido Marangoni. Mary was a member of First Lutheran Church on Colley Ave. in Norfolk. Sharing those precious memories of love, laughter and smiles are her children, Louis Marangoni of Waynesboro, Va., James G. Marangoni of Castleton, Va., Edward J. Marangoni of Virginia Beach, Frederick Marangoni of Suffolk, Santina Marangoni and Betty Feather of Louisville, Ky. She had nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. Her brothers, Lindsay Walls of Florida, Rufus and Robert Walls, both of Virginia and sisters, Myrtle Riddle and Margie Sheppard, both of Virginia.
A celebration of life will be held at the First Lutheran Church on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 1994, at 1 p.m. Services will be conducted by Pastor Marshall Mauney. Interment will follow the services at Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Kellum Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling the arrangements. The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 24, 1994, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Along with flowers, the family would like donations to the First in Faith Building Fund, First Lutheran Church, 1301 Colley Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23517.
