Sheila Mae Rice Yard, daughter of Macie Rice and Eddie Bojan of Norfolk, has passed Oct. 20, 1994. She was born Dec. 11, 1950.
In her leaving, she leaves behind a devoted and loving husband, Derrick Francis Yard; two sons and one step-daughter, Jerome Alexander Rice, Lemetric Braxton Rice and Edina Colman. She leaves behind three brothers, four sisters and one godsister, Frank Rice, Ronnie Rice, Johnnie Rice of Norfolk and Gracie Epps of Portsmouth, Hester Rice of Florida, Pearl Rice of North Carolina, Be-Be Rice of Minnesota and Mary Weldon of Norfolk.
Sheila Mae also leaves behind a host of friends and loved ones that will miss her dearly.
Sheila worked with the Military Sealift Command out of Norfolk for six years as a cook/ baker. She also worked for Omni Hotel of Norfolk Waterside for 10 years.
Memorial services will be held at her home at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 942 Hannah St., Norfolk, Va. 23502. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
