Purita Romero Tesoro, 79, of the 1900 block of Split Rail Drive, a homemaker, died Oct. 25, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Tesoro was born in Manila, Philippines, was the widow of Nicolas E. Tesoro, a member of Philippine Senior Citizen Club of Virginia Beach and was a Catholic.
Survivors include three daughters, Norrie T. Hoff of Virginia Beach, Daisy T. Hepp of Chesapeake and Lolly Nicholson of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; four sons, Nicolas E. Tesoro, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Jose Tesoro of California, Cesar Tesoro of Los Angeles, Calif., and Wilfredo Tesoro of Germany; two sisters, Amparo Ferrer of Buffalo, N.Y., and Gloria Tobias of the Philippines; 24 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, by Father John Peck O.S.B. and Father Leo Manalo. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday.
