Ezra C. Magette Jr., better known as ``E.C.'', 75, of Poplar Avenue, died Oct. 24, 1994, at NAM Hospital.
Mr. Magette was born in Victoria, Va. He retired after 37 years as a Virginia State Policeman, for 31 of those years he was a Virginia State Police Sergeant. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Exmore, Va. He served in the Army in World War II, was a member of Broadwater Masonic Lodge (NU)71, Tom Downing Ruritan Club and Wesley Fellowship Class of Epworth U.M.C.
Survivors include his wife, Helen F. Magette; two sons, James Winslow Magette of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., and William Lawson Magette of College Park, Md.; a sister, Rebecca M. Vaugham of Franklin, Va.; a brother, Joseph K. Magette of Courtland, Va.; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 p.m. by the Rev. Jim Perry and the Rev. Brooke Willson at Epworth United Methodist Church, Exmore, Va. Burial in Belle Haven Cemetery, Bell Haven, Va. B.D. Holland Funeral Home at Nassawadox, Va. is handling arrangements.
