Stanley D. Jaskowiak, 76, died at his home in Novato, California Monday, Oct. 24, 1994. A resident of Bowers Hill, Va., for 65 years, Stanley and his wife, Lottie, who preceded him in death, retired to Novato in 1981 where they were members of Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Franca and Toni Cooper, both of Novato and a sister, Lucy Williams of Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Jaskowiak was born May 4, 1918, in Bowers Hill to one of its founding families. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in the Pacific Islands during WWII. He retired from the James G. Gill Company, Norfolk in 1980. Stanley was a volunteer fireman and a member of the Police Association of Virginia. The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday, Oct. 26, 1994, from 7-9 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, Oct. 27 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bowers Hill. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
