Merrilla Snell Stover, 69, died Oct. 28, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Stover was born in Fairfield, N.C. She was the widow of Willie H. Snell and Eugene Stover. She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star Berkley Chapter 52.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Mamie and George Bell of Norfolk, Barbara and Don Henry of Greensboro, N.C., Susan and Richard Amorese of Knotts Island and Beverly and John Centlivre of Chesapeake; a son and daughter-in-law, Willie and Laura Snell of Chesapeake; three sisters, Virginia Midgette, Peggy Conley and Macel Dodd; two brothers, Willie G. Harris and I.S. ``Dick'' Harris; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many loved ones and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Jay Ashby. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m. and also at 928 Copper Stone Circle, Chesapeake, at other times.
Memorial donations may be made to the church.
