Howard McKinley Corl, age 94, a resident of Waverly, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 1994, at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg. He was a native of Bradford County, Pa., and was a retired lumberman. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of Newville Baptist Church. His parents were the late Stuart Willard and Clara Jenny Christ Corl. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Harwell Corl.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday Nov. 1, 1994, at 2 p.m. at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel, by the Rev. Ronald Sowers. Burial will be in Waverly Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad.
