Esther Williams Thrasher, 97, of the 600 block of Kingsborough Square, died Monday, Oct. 31, 1994, at her residence.
Mrs. Thrasher was born in Quincy, Ill., and was the daughter of the late John M. Lewis Williams and Martha Ann Griswold Williams. Mrs. Thrasher was the widow of Samuel H. Thrasher, a co-founder of Greenbrier Farms, and was predeceased by her son, S. Howard Thrasher Jr. and her grandson, John Jeffrey Thrasher. She was a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, Buckhannon, W.Va.
Survivors include her son, Fred L. Thrasher of Chesapeake; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Riverside Memorial Park by the Rev. Lewis H. Morgan. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at other times at 445 Bridgefield Blvd.
