Ethel B. Douglass Watson, formerly of Portsmouth, died Oct. 29, 1994, in Baltimore.
Mrs. Watson was born in Washington, D.C., and was the widow of Fitz E. Watson Sr. She was retired as a para-professional special education teacher from the New York School System. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Courts of Calanthe (NU)259 and Rachel Tent (NU)8, Independent Order of Tents.
Survivors include four daughters, Sylvia Douglas Nelvin of New York, Marian Brown of Portsmouth, Ethel Lea Watson of Lorton, Va., and Earlene W. Lewis of Baltimore; two sons, Fitz E. Watson Jr. and Albert (Ramadan), both of New York; two sisters, Marian D. Wilson and Catherine D. Hendricks of Portsmouth; 32 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; an aunt, Eunice R. Dozier of Chesapeake; nieces; nephews; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Zion Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. J.L. Roberts. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The body will be in church at 11 a.m. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
