CHARLES A. DICKERSON JR.

Charles Anderson Dickerson Jr., 81, a resident of Lumberton Road in Waverly, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 1994, at his home.

Born in Sussex County, his parents were the late Charles A. and Ruth Hawkins Dickerson. A retired farmer, Mr. Dickerson was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and the Hunting Quarter Hunt Club. He was husband of the late Martha Scarborough Dickerson.

He is survived by one sister, Ann D. Kello of Windsor; three brothers, Jesse F. Dickerson of Waverly, R.M. ``Dick'' Dickerson of Courtland and William E. ``Bill'' Dickerson of Suffolk. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sula D. Fannin and Lula D. Ellsworth; and two brothers, Clarence C. Dickerson and Lewis W. Dickerson.

A funeral service will be held in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Monday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Randy McMillen and Dr. David G. Brown Jr. Entombment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Petersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence of Jesse F. Dickerson, W. Main St., Waverly.

Memorial donations may be made to the Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad or to the Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
