George Willard Lane, 76, died Nov. 2, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Lane was born in Currituck County, N.C. He owned and operated G.W. Lane Inc. Trucking Line for over 50 years. He was a member of Nazarene Church in South Hill.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Evelyn Doxey Lane; a daughter, Lauretta Will of Virginia Beach; a son, Willard H. Lane of Virginia Beach; a sister, Jeanette Thornton Duncan of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Ted Owen. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
