Richard Rowlett Clark Sr., beloved husband of Dolores E. Clark, loving father of Richard R. Clark of Houston, Texas, Michael Clark, David Clark, Sharon Lewis, all of Virginia Beach, departed this life Nov. 9, 1994.
Dick was a devoted grandfather of Jason Clark and Monica Bartholomew of Houston, Erik, Jeremy and Benjamin Clark of Virginia Beach, Matthew and Troy Lewis of Virginia Beach, Justin and Spencer Clark of Virginia Beach; great-granddaughter, Sadie Lewis of Virginia Beach. Dick is also survived by two brothers, W.D. Clark Jr. of Charlotte, N.C., Jack W. Clark of Norfolk; and also many nieces, nephews and friends.
Dick retired from Bill Bruce Ford after 39 years of service. He was a U.S. Merchant Marine veteran of World War II.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Diamond Springs Christian Church, 5612 Hadan Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455.
A funeral will be on Friday, Nov. 11, 1994, 11 a.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, 464-6221. Services will be conducted by Pastor Phil Holwager and Dr. John Osberg.
