Louis Everett Miller, 76, of the 8200 block of Redwood Circle, a retired U.S. Navy chief petty officer, died Nov. 10, 1994 in Norfolk.
Mr. Miller, born in Mallory, W.Va., was a veteran of World War II and Korea and retired from the Navy after 20 years. He retired from civil service at NAVCOMSTA after 10 years and was also formerly employed at G.E. in Atlanta, Servo Corporation in New York and Chrysler Guided Missile Plant in Detroit. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Association, Branch (NU)60, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post (NU)3160 and was active in the Republican Party.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Belle Miller; three sisters, Polly Newman of Logan, W.Va., Cora Marontate of Farmington, Mich., and Ella Hodge of Mallory, W.Va.; two brothers, the Rev I.J. Miller of Gilbert, W.Va., and Darrell Miller of Rowlett, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Capt. Donald L. Kirkbride, USN (Ret.). Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with full military honors. A Fleet Reserve service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will remain to receive friends after the service.
