A Circuit Court judge ruled Thursday that David's II, a nightclub in the 400 block of High St., remain closed until its owner appears in court.
A hearing had been scheduled for Thursday, but neither the club's owner, Alonzo Terrell Martin, nor his attorney, J. Wayne Sprinkle, showed up. The hearing, by Judge L. Cleaves Manning, was to determine whether the club would be allowed to remain open after nearby residents and businesses complained about noise, rowdy crowds and other problems. A judge closed the club temporarily last month. by CNB
