Helen Catherine Peters, 90, of the 1800 block of E. Little Creek Road, Lot 58, died Nov. 13, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Peters was born in Detroit, Mich. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where she formed and was first president of St. Pius X Senior Citizens Club. She was also a member of the Smile Club at Azalea Baptist Church and the Tarrallton Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include two brothers, John T. Peters and Ray Peters, both of Port Richey, Fla.; several nieces and nephews and great and great-great-nieces and nephews including Germaine Nowinski with whom she resided with in Norfolk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Pius X Catholic Church by Father William Dale. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum. A Christian Wake service will be held in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Tuesday at 7 p.m. where the family will remain until 8:30 p.m. A reception will follow the entombment at St. Pius X Parish Hall. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
