JAMES D. TURNER

James David Turner, 56, died Nov. 14, 1994, in Norfolk.

Mr. Turner was born in Nehawker, Neb. He was a senior systems analyst with Consultants Associates Inc. in Chesapeake. He had retired from the U.S. Navy, after 23 years, as a cryptologist and was formerly with Unisys Corp. for nine years. He was a member of Oakdale Presbyterian Church and Fleet Reserve Association Branch (NU)5.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine B. Turner; five children, Duane Allen Turner of Omaha, Neb., Betsy Marlow of Virginia Beach, Glen, Gary and Lisa Gumataotao, all of Agana, Guam; three sisters; one brother; and three granddaughters, Amy, Stacey and Ashley.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Kenneth R. King. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A Fleet Reserve service will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will remain until 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
