Survivors include his wife, Ellen M. King; a sister, Hattie Butler of Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
