Francis V. Eads, 80, of the 8000 block of Driftwood Drive, died Nov. 15, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Eads was born in Acme, W.Va., and was retired as a manager from Southland Corp. He was the widower of Viola R. Eads and attended Azalea Garden Baptist Church. He was a member of Coal Valley Masonic Lodge (NU)74, AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies in Charleston, W.Va., and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Taylor of Norfolk; a son, Jack W. Eads of Richmond; two sisters, Maxine Williams of Ohio and Betty Wilson of West Virginia; six brothers, Billy and Everett Eads of Kentucky, Lawrence, Bobby, Charles and Gordon Eads of West Virginia; two grandchildren, Frank Taylor III of Virginia Beach and Terry Wayne Eads of Richmond; and four great-grandchildren, Matthew and Brent Taylor, Jennifer and Melisa Eads.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
