Audrey Jean Smith Blount, 35, of the 1200 block of Lead St., a nurse's aide, died Nov. 14, 1994, in a local hospital.
She was born in Norfolk and was a nurse's aide at Sentara Nursing Center, Chesapeake.
Survivors include a son, Theodore Blount Jr. of Norfolk; her mother, Geneva Smith of Norfolk; two sisters, Glena Blount and Nadine Rountree, both of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Neno Smith of Chesapeake and Douglas Smith III of Roanoke; two aunts, Irma Claggion of Portsmouth and Enda Bank of New York; an uncle, Alfred B. Smith of Norfolk; a special cousin, Sallie Mayfield of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of longtime friends who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her father, Douglas Smith Jr.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Macedonia Holiness Church, 7518 Merrit St., in the Oakwood section of Norfolk, by the Rev. Dexter Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. A wake service will be at Metropolitan Funeral Service from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Family and friends will assemble at 1220 Lead St., Apt. E, Norfolk, at noon Saturday for the funeral processional to the church.
