Helen Langley Olivis, 87, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 1994, in Lake Taylor Hospital.
Mrs. Olivis was a native of Norfolk, Va. and returned here in 1989 after living in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico for 29 years. Mrs. Olivis was the widow of Frank R. Olivis Sr. of Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Norfolk, Va.
Survivors include her stepson, Frank R. Olivis Jr. and three step-grandchildren of Hampton, Va.; one brother, Daniel Langley of New York; two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Coleman of Indianapolis, Ind. and Mrs. Willie Barge of Norfolk, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Areatha Langley and Mrs. Evelyn Wynn of Norfolk, Va.; two cousins, Mrs. Virginia Turner of Norfolk and Mrs. Veola Moody of Portsmouth, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Because of the love she had for people, Mrs. Olivis dedicated her remains to medical science. In keeping with her request, there will be no memorial service.
