NSU, FAYETTEVILLE STATE STILL LEAD CIAA'S WAY

The more things change, the more they stay the same in CIAA women's basketball.

Norfolk State and Fayetteville State, last year's division winners, are picked to repeat this season.

The Spartanettes have their most talented team since 1991, when they went to the NCAA Final Four.

The Lady Broncos have five starters returning, led by 6-3 center Christina Hollins, an Army vet from nearby Fort Bragg.

Four of the conference's top five scorers are back, and six of the top eight rebounders.

Norfolk State's Kristi Greene, a senior forward, is coming off an All-American season, and point guard Lisa Rice needs just 125 assists to become the all-time leader in Division II. by CNB
