Erma Lee Blanchard of the 900 block of Harpersville Road, died Nov. 23, 1994, in her home.
A native of Gates County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Alfred Perry and Lillian Brinkley Blanchard.
Miss Blanchard was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Newport News. She retired as program coordinator for the Office of Continuing Education at the Medical College of Virginia.
Survivors include three sisters, Doris B. Benton, Ruth B. Brinkley, both of Suffolk, Naomi B. Hofler of Elizabeth City, N.C.; one brother, Clyde B. Blanchard of Tyner, N.C.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside in Warwick Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Chowan County, on Friday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. R. Wendell Sodergren. The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Ruth B. Brinkley, 361 Turlington Road, Suffolk. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Baptist Home, 955 Harpersville Road, Newport News, Va. 23601.
