Lee R. Stephens, 79, of the 500 block of Liberty St., a retired construction worker, died Nov. 24, 1994.
He was born in Fairmont, N.C., and was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son, Robert Stephens of Norfolk; four sisters, Ressie R. Rickett of New Burgh, N.Y., Fannie Richardson of Portsmouth, Gladys Hayes of Portsmouth, Vernetha Stephens of Seattle, Wash.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in New Garden of Prayer No. 4, Portsmouth, by Elder Samuel Moore. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Garden. Viewing will be at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. Family and friends will assemble today at Serenity Funeral Home, 610 Green St., Portsmouth, at 11:15 a.m. for the processional to the church.
