Birdie Stuart Jackson, 93, of the 1500 block of Chesapeake Ave., died Nov. 24, 1994,in Chesapeake General Hospital.
She was a native of Bedford County, Va., and had retired after 20 years of sales with L. Snyder's Dept. Store. She was the widow of John Jones Jackson, and was a member of Chesapeake Ave. United Methodist Church and the Chesapeake Senior Citizens Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Wanda J. Layne of Sanford, Va.; one sister, Lila Akers of Chesapeake; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conductd at 11 a.m. Monday in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. John Andrews. Burial will be in Virginia Memorial Park, Forest, Va., at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home following the funeral service on Monday.
